Join the SHOFAR SOCIETY on a mission to explore the Jewish community of Cuba, on the eve of historic change to the country!

Before the tides of history turn and Cuba changes forever, be a part of this immersive, authentic, Jewish adventure:

  • Tour the GORGEOUS HIGHLIGHTS OF OLD HAVANA, including the historic Jewish quarter, the Jewish cemetery, and the first Holocaust memorial built in the Western Hemisphere
  • Get to know the THRIVING JEWISH COMMUNITY through meetings with Jewish leadership and a special Shabbat dinner with the congregation at the historic Patronato Synagogue
  • INDULGE in tasting Cuban rum, tour a cigar factory, experience Revolution Square and Hemingway’s house, and cruise Havana’s vintage cars

The Shofar Society is an association for men contributing at least $1,000 to the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s Annual Campaign. Participation in this mission requires a minimum commitment of $1,000 each year to the 2018 and 2019 Jewish Federation Annual Campaigns.

Cost includes land costs and flights between Pittsburgh and Cuba. Flight from Pittsburgh to Miami not included. Cost includes double occupancy; single occupancy supplement is $900.

A $500 per person non-refundable deposit will be charged to your credit card upon registration.  The balance will be charged approximately two months prior to the mission.  Payment plans are available.
