Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Emergency Deployment Team for Israel

Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Firefighters, and Community Members needed for volunteer deployment to Israel as needed, if a crisis occurs.

The Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP) is assembling a team of volunteers from Pittsburgh for deployment to Israel if needed during a crisis, including natural disasters. Together with the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Partnership2Gether (P2G) and the cities of Karmiel and Misgav, volunteers will be certified by EVP to become local and international first responders.

Register Online

Doctors: will receive temporary licensure to practice medicine in Israel.

Firefighters: will work alongside their Israeli counterparts riding on fire trucks and responding to life-saving emergency calls.

Nurses and Paramedics: will provide life-saving assistance at the hospitals and in bomb shelters.

Community Volunteers: will serve in the municipality emergency depots, deliver water and food to shelters and provide various support services in towns drained by call-ups of military reserve personnel.
