Activity: Make and Send New Year Greeting Cards
We often send cards with these sentiments to family and friends. Children love to make cards and even more love getting mail of their own. To kick off the holiday season, send your child a card wishing for a sweet and good year, and encourage your children to make cards to send to family and friends. Talk about your wishes for the coming year to help frame for your kids what these holidays are about.As an additional activity, have your children make a few extra cards and find a local hospital or nursing home where they can be distributed. If you are a member of a congregation, contact the office or the appropriate committee for names of elderly or sick congregants who might enjoy a New Year’s greeting from a child.
