E3

E3: Empowered, Educated, Engaged Jewish Women is a unique opportunity for women who are passionate about their community, and are looking to grow as Jewish women. Together, we learn about ourselves, each other, and how we can make a difference in our Pittsburgh community – Jewishly, citywide, and beyond. Our events are part learning and part schmoozing with old and new friends.

At E3 events, we participate in discussions, social action projects, and unique learning opportunities, all through interacting with influential Jewish women in our community. E3 provides a platform for you to educate yourself on current social, political, and cultural issues as they relate to Judaism and your own Jewish identity. E3 is a program of Women's Philanthropy at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.

E3It's social action and socializing.

It's Jewish Pittsburgh and Greater Pittsburgh. And beyond.

It's your old friends from Mommy & Me and your new friends from high school carpooling.

It's spiritual and practical.

It's fun and learning.

It's you and other engaged Jewish women.

May 16 - No Crayon Left Behind

No Crayon Left BehindTuesday, May 16
7:30 - 9:00 pm
The Artsmiths of Pittsburgh
1635 McFarland Rd, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15216

Join us to learn more about this amazing program from its founder, Emily Skopov and participate in a hands-on activity.

Did you know, 95% of restaurants in the US throw out all crayons left behind?

Founded in 2011, by Emily Skopov, No Crayon Left Behind was born when she took notice of a wasteful habit in today's society - the tossing out of perfectly good crayons.

To date, No Crayon Left Behind has gifted over one million crayons to a wide variety of organizations in over 20 countries, and it continues to expand its reach to the endless numbers of children and young people for whom this most basic instrument for art and self-expression is often an unaffordable luxury. Join us as we learn more about No Crayon Left Behind and participate in a hands'-on activity.

Please bring an unopened pack of  crayons to donate to the  organization for children in need.

Dessert and wine will be provided.
Dietary laws observed.

Sweet New Year

September 22, 2016

With the New Year brings new beginnings.  To kick off our first E3 series for the year, women gathered to have the opportunity to create a floral arrangement for your Rosh Hashanah celebration with the help of Alex from Alex’s East End Floral Shoppe. Each participant created and took home their very own masterpiece to embellish their table and bring in a sweet new year.
