Join us for the 2018 Spring Event, featuring Elad Shippony and his highly-acclaimed show, The Wandering Israeli.  With its special mix of theater, storytelling, live music and a refreshing dose of humor, The Wandering Israeli brings to the stage an unforgettable Israeli adventure.

Elad Shippony made Aliyah from Los Angeles in 1988 to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The son of Israelis who had left when he was three years old, from his early days Elad was a "wandering Israeli". After serving as a combat soldier in the Golani reconnaissance unit, Elad traveled the world for many years. His travels inspired him to create the highly-acclaimed show, "The Wandering Israeli."

For those observing the Omer, please note that live music will be played at this event.

This event is for women who give $180 or more to the Jewish Federation’s Community Campaign. The pre-reception is for women who are in the Pomegranate Society, Lions of Judah, LOJE participants, or whose household commitment to the Community Campaign is $10,000 or more, or by special invitation.

The Women's Philanthropy Spring Event is the annual WP thank-you event for women donors giving $1,000+ to the Annual Campaign, or $365 for young adults (ages 22-45). The event has traditionally been held in the spring and includes speaker and dessert reception. In 2014 and 2015, WP partnered with the JFilm Festival where the attendees enjoyed a film and speaker presentation; this garnered unprecedented success with sell-out attendance of 160+ women in 2015. In 2016, WP brought in Israeli Fashion House, Maskit to Pittsburgh. This was another great success with over 120+ women in attendance. In 2017, WP welcomed Daniel Sahalo to speak about the Megemeria School of Jewelry and Art that provides Ethiopian immigrants to Israel with a bright, new beginning in life.
